Telegram Comments

Telegram is a messaging app, visually similar to WhatsApp, with a focus on privacy but which offers more flexibility and many more features.

One of those features is the ability to add Telegram comments to posts for public channels and websites: using an available widget.

Comments for websites
If you run a website or blog adding Telegram comments to your site is as simple as adding one line of code.

The comment widget has a number of options to customise how it looks on your domain. This can be accesses via the comments.

But also when logged into Telegram via easy access from any comment section on your domain.

Who might use Telegram comments?

Anyone interested in a simple commenting option which isn't owned by either Google or Facebook. The site owner can easily add any Telegram user as a moderator, which is a handy feature for busier sites.

What needs to be improved? (Updated)

Site owners and moderators need an option to automatically be subscribed to comments left on a domain.

Update July 2020: There is now an easy way to subscribe to all comments on a single domain. Click the checkbox and subscribe. Easily unsubscribe in the same way.

Update October 202: Added a link to a newer page explaining Telegrams's native comment option for channels.
