New twitter hashtags
Clicking on a hashtag performs a platform search; which returns other public posts tagged by other users on that platform.

How are Community hashtags different?
When you click on a hashtag in a community the results are only tweets with the same hashtag from within the same community as the tweet you clicked on. No other public tweets using that hashtag from across Twitter. Only other tweets from the same community. If you are posting with, or clicking on Twitter hashtags, you need to understand that difference.
This new type of Twitter hashtag is kind of like using hashtags within a Telegram channel. But unlike Telegram channels, in a Twitter Community all members can add any hashtag to their posts that they want.
So, will this new community hashtag function as the Twitter Devs may have intended?
That depends on whether community members know of the difference, between a "normal hashtag" and community hashtag.
