How Telegram threads work

Last time I wrote about Telegram, I wrote about context when responding. 

At the end of that article I mentioned that replies are grouped into a threads. 

Even if you are a longterm Telegram user the idea of reply threads is new and possibly quite confusing. 

So what are Telegram threads?

How do threads work?

On Twitter threads are yours. You start one by replying or adding to a tweet you have made. 

On Telegram a thread potential exists when a new message is made. 

A thread is created when a reply is made to that new message. 

Note how, when I reply to Soph's new message a separate space is made, and you can enter that space afterwards by clicking "View X replies" on the original message. 

In smaller groups this may seem unnecessary, but Telegram groups can be big, hold up to 200,000 users. Features like this make navigating discussions in groups a joy. When people understand to reply.
