Twitter Topics
Twitter is launching Topics: a big new feature, which is aimed at making the platform be stickier for new users who are often confused about "who" to follow.
I'll update this page with more info and some thoughts after I have had access to topics, but here are a few things to keep in mind.
Update: 25th November
Topics are still only partially rolled out, at least to me in the UK. Some accounts are presented with some topic choices, but I have still mot seen evidence of topics in the stream or visible on user profiles.
Update: 5th December
The slow and rather complicated roll-out for topics seems to be almost at an end.
Users are being notified that the feature is live and are able to follow topics.
Browsing available topics is very clunky. Twitter is promising "a way to browse Topics is coming soon".
