Nice to see improvements being rolled out to Google Buzz.
Noticed that location data is now showing up on Buzz posts pulled in from Twitter.
The change shows up
most on the "
nearby" tab on a mobile device, as this shows the source: but will also help to populate the Buzz map too, which after an initial burst of activity was, in some locations, rather quiet.
You can view a Buzz map in your desktop browser
here (works best in Chrome).
Update: Now you can see GeoBuzz posts on the
desktop version of Google maps too.
If Buzz gave the option to view "
Buzz from my Contacts" or filter by a group that would be really cool especially for location. Then, I don't suppoese I'd check out foursquare. I find all those "
I'm at ..." tweets rather irritating: from the "outside" they're just a foursquare ad. For me location information should be supplemental not the information itself.
