Wanna tweet my videos? (as your own)
"Can you send me the file please?"I often get asked by colleagues for a video file of something they have seen +Ford Europe share on Twitter: but you don't need a video file to post the video on Twitter as it's possible share any video "natively" on twitter using just a link.
Here is a tweet of mine which embeds a +Ford Europe video.
Click the link in this #FordGT Goodwood #FOS video to see what I was up to this weekend for @FordEU π€ pic.twitter.com/bzxrPZxX3E— Robert Wallis (@qwallis) July 2, 2017
Here is a screenshot of that tweet before it was posted.
See? All I used was a pic.twitter URL at the end of the text to embed the video.
Here are a few examples ...

What I like about this method is that it remains an ethical method of sharing video, as it does include some attribution, but gives you full control over the copy and tweet message of your tweet.
So next time you want to share a video without using the retweet or quote function, you now know how!
Where do you get these magic links?
They are in the embed code which you can get from any tweet. You can get that easily from the drop down menu for any tweet on desktop, or on mobile by using the share by email function and copying the pic.twitter URL from the email before sending. What I like about this method is that it remains an ethical method of sharing video, as it does include some attribution, but gives you full control over the copy and tweet message of your tweet.
