Two new gadgets for friend connect.The Events gadget is great for sites which have one foot (or more) in the real world, like club sites etc.
It's a little fiddly to set up and would be much better if it could be administrated through the canvas view which is the interesting feature from the non-Google Polls gadget.
There is a slight nag, which has me worrying about the solidity of gadgets developed by third parties.
Obviously third parties want and are entitled to gain reward from their investment developing and hosting the gadget. But it would be nice to know that you aren't going to have to put up with those irritating FLASHING gaudy adverts suddenly appearing which developers always seem to pick go to squeeze the juice out of their projects.
